I went for a job with two years required customer service / marketing department.
My experience was one year on the board of a student association and a two years of maybe working once or twice a month at university events.
They just want someone who has done something with their time.

Okay, here's the thing: "5 years" is just a number. Idealy 5 years. What matters the most is, that you have experience in that job. Just so that I know that theres a high possibility that you know your shit if i decide to employ you. Even if you are a fucking carpet cleaner or whatever. If you're pretty new at the job, you're probably not worth the money i'd have to pay you.
