Thinking of marrying

Should I hide a portion of my assets from her?

How?

Also a general loss-from-divorce story thread.

>Go to a good college

>Marry a girl from a rich family with more to lose than you from a divorce

It's like you're all noobs.

How exactly do you plan to hide this portion of your assets?

The only way to truly protect it is to either keep it in cash or keep it out of your name.

Keep in mind that a good divorce attorney can dig up a lot of your past transactions.

Anything that is in your name is at risk

Get a prenup before marriage. Get a postnup after marriage. Make sure you protect your current and future assets.

Be sure to do it in a timely matter bc "muh pressure to sign"

Also OP, instead of splitting your hidden assets if her lawyers etc find them, you lose them to her. The law is built that way to keep you from hiding assets, because otherwise there is no incentive not to hide them.

Not just personal stories, but stories of parents or other people you know who got fucked because of divorce.

get a prenup, tell her it's just buisness.

Those are too easily thrown out by judges, and it happens enough to scare me
>>

tell her, if we are going to be together forever than why marry? and if we are going to be together forever than a prenup should never be brought up after being signed.
Maybe think about setting up a corporation before the prenup and set your salary low.

Do you know WHY they get thrown out by judges though? They don't just say 'lol she's a strong independent woman so i'm going go to give her everything'
>>
>>1363396
Don't even worry about it, if you don't have a pre-nup she's going to get your shit when she jets for the bbc

I gave my mum $100k and my dad $150k

3 years later they 'loaned' me $100k and $150k to help buy a house for me and my wife. Wrote it up, signed it etc accepting the 'loan'

If divorce happens, 'mum and dad own this house' since their money paid for it

If marriage is blissful and happy, all is fine.

Why does it happen?
