I have 3100$ in my savings account. Its all i have and i need to have this money. Should i open a general investing account and try to get a short return on it by buying SPY and then selling it off after a few months?

the SPX has been ranging from 2000 to 2100 since about jul 2014. let's ignore those trips down to 1800 and 1900 for a moment. it's a bit about 2000 now. how much upside is left? 5% abouts.
there's at least 3 threads on biz right now discussing the current macro climate. read them. make your own decisions. you think biz is stupid? fine, educate yourself on economics and then observe what the big hedge funds are positioning for. i cbf to spoonfeed. you have a brain. use it.
You don't have enough to be investing. Leave that in the bank and get a job to build up your savings.
