Hello /biz/, I will be inheriting a $47000 CDN mutual fund from my grandmother. Too be divided between me and my two sisters. Anyone know what I should do with it? I know I wanna pay off my credit card debit which is around $1500. I wanted to put some into my savings or into gold and silver.

Why don't you just put the rest of the money back into a low fee mutual fund (i.e., Vanguard) and get a much better rate than your savings account and less risk than putting everything in precious metals?
Take the money out of the fund, pay off your debt straight out and wait for the next market crash to invest.

Only wanted to put like 2k into silver and gold. I wanted to keep the rest in the mutual. At one point it was at around 67000, not too long ago, a year maybe? My grandma was taking out some and probably had some dips in stocks here and there.

Also me and my dad are gonna start flipping houses. Starting off with condos, then moving on to town houses, then full houses. We are inheriting my grandmas condo. Trying to flip it from 260,000 to 290,000 CDN. My dad said, he wants to try and make 20,000 off of each sale. My dad knows how to do plumbing, electrical, carpentry, tile work, and hardwood flooring. Tbh I believe this condo could go for 300,000. Right next too downtown Mississauga. 2 bed room, 2 bath room, a living room, den which could be turned into a kids room no problem.
