I'm in public transportation and just applied online.
Look for different government agencies jobs - bus drivers, cleaners, accounting clerk all get paid about 25-35 per hour here. They usually have a period where they spam random jobs, I think it's whenever their fiscal year is done and they have a renewed budget to add new people.

Lots actually. Welder, machinist, electrician, plumber, etc. You see where I'm going, right? Skilled trades. There's a growing shortage in the US right now. The problem is that baby boomers are retiring, or dying, and their kids and grandkids have been raised being told that they are too good for that kind of work. They haven't followed in dad/grandpa's footsteps, and that's why employers (especially smaller ones) are literally to the point that they will hire almost anyone off the street, and either train them on the job, and/or send them to school.
Make no mistake about it, it's not easy work. You will earn your pay, and until you learn enough about what you're doing to go work for a bigger, better company, you probably aren't going to make too much more than you would flipping burgers, or being a cashier. The difference is, that you will have a future if you learn your trade, and stick with it. Work your ass off, and learn everything you can for a year or two, and then move on to someplace better.
I'm a machinist myself. I've been doing it for about six years now. I'm by no means a master machinist yet, and may never be, but I'm certainly much more competent at it now than I was back then. When I started I would have told you that I wasn't mechanically inclined, and as far as trying to fix or build shit (aside from gaming PCs), I was pretty useless. I was told when I started that if other men can learn to do it, chances are I could too, and it's true.

I downloaded Mastercam and taught myself CNC programming lol. Started as an operator, became a certified machinist, and eventually became a CNC programmer. Currently I'm actually an IT Intern at the company I did CNC programming for lol

If you live somewhere with decent weather, land surveyor. You start out doing grunt work in the field, but you can work your way up to leading a crew or working on a computer in the office. I did it for one summer ten years ago and made $18/hour plus time and a half for overtime, which there was a lot of. There were guys who worked in the office who didn't have degrees that were making six figures.

Only thing you need to do is pass state inspections, a few written tests, and get a physical.
Hours workout that you can only drive a max of 11 a day and work 14 hours total a day. Mandatory 30min break every 8 hours. Get 10 hours off a day. Can only work a Max of 70 hours before you get 32hours off.
Trainees can make like 500 a week riding with someone and learning the ins and outs.
Theres local jobs and not local jobs where you get to explore the country and visit all kinds of places. Once you get a decent job start making 1k a week.
Plenty of time to read books in the cab waiting for loads. Get to listen to music and podcasts all day. Buy a wifi card and subscription and look at porn in your berth all day.
Plenty of lot lizards and storires. Plus you won't be out in the cold or heat all goddamn day.
Yea it does kind of suck and if you dont wanna be from home, but that money. After a few years of working you can find more local routes.
