Check out yahoo finance's MACD charts. MACD lets you know when people are beginning to sell or beginning to buy, letting you know when spikes or dips are occuring.
I also recommend trying to load up when your stock goes below the 50 day moving average line.

You get 3 day trades (buy and sell a stock the same day in a 5 day period.) Weekends don't count toward those 5 days.
So if you used up all 3 day trades on Friday you'd be able to day trade again next Wednesday.

Literally just don't buy and sell something in the same day. You can check your day trades in the past 5 days in the options. So just keep your eye on that. Once it has 3 things on it you have to be on your best behavior. It will also prevent you from making the fourth and final trade by defualt so you can't actually get flagged unless you got out of your way to do so.
tl;dr just check the day trade screen to see where you currently are.

Make sure you have enough day trades left before you buy into a high volatility stock like MGT today.
The last thing you want is to buy in at the peak and watch the stock plummet the rest of the day.
You can turn off day trade protection in RH but that prevents you from day trading for 3 months so use it in dire circumstances.
