I want to purchase some stock and hold for a few months maybe even a few years

What brokerage accounts should I look into?

I'm not sure how I feel about RH for long term investments.

I tried interactive brokers but they want me to have either a certain amount in net worth and performed a certain amount of trades.

Yeah, that's a nice argument, but the truth is that your costs are determined by your capital, not your brokerage.
With "X" amount of money, you could demand pretty much the same (or close to) commission from most any brokerage.
Doesn't matter as much as you think.
