Just imagine it the other way around.
If a currency falls it means exporting is cheaper and importing is more expensive. Therefore depending on what company you're dealing with eventhough currency has fallen they probably have a high opportunity in increasing their exports and increasing their margin.
You also have to take into account that the benchmark stock market index of a country includes the most important and biggest national companies, which means the ones that actually may probably benefit the most from a weak currency with exports.
As always this is only estimated and theorically. In reality it entirelly depends on the reason why currency drops or increases and what is the business of that company or its sector.
