anyone familiar with simple bank (simple.com)? thinking about opening a checking account with them instead of ally or schwab.
I'm not sure I see the advantage Simple offers over an online account that pays interest (Discover or Ally or Synchony).

I like simple. Cap one bank is also good. but get whichever has better rates.

Just got my Simple account verified yesterday. Chime verified me instantly and they give you 10% on round up savings, so I'm not sure which to use. They both are using Bancorp Bank though, so it's essentially the same bank, different software.

The only annoying thing about simple is you obviously can't deposit cash, and they get mad if you buy money orders and start depositing those instead
Schwab or USAA aren't as money order sensitive, although Ally doesn't technically accept money orders, they do anyways for certain money orders, otherwise you have to mail them in

Why would schwab get mad at you for buying money orders to deposit cash? It's how I funded my brokerage account to get the welcome kit sent out and they actually suggested it.
It's easier to supplement a Schwab account with a local bank or credit union account, then use the money link to push/pull money into/out of it respectively when you need a physical branch to do cash related services.
