I think it's a part of the education process. When I first got into the stock market I was similar to OP, and definitely over traded, but that was years ago. Now I'm a boring investor and much happier (and doing better financially).

I'd argue that not getting any is probably a sign that you're not able to achieve things higher on the pyramid.
For example General Health next rung up. There are 0 studies that say a healthy sex life doesn't improve life.
I for one feel much better after a good romp, my blood pressure goes down, my cortisol goes down, my headaches go away, I smile more and am able to function at a higher level.

I'm not saying an 1950's model of human behavior is gospel truth. They're models man. This one probably inaccurate when you get down to the biochem, but models get to be models because they are usually precise. I would never apply causality to this drawing.
Precise, is useful, if you know the limits of the model.

Look I'm agreeing with you. We know that it can't measure up to the rigor of physics, because we can torture rocks and projectiles and tops all day and it hurts no one except the physicists trying to figure it out.
But if we were to really study humans to isolate variables, we'd have to go well beyond the Nazi's in terms of experimentation. our best proxies today are small mammals. and while attaching printer heads to cats with their skulltops removed gets us pretty close to usable info, doing it to statistically relevant numbers of humans might be a tall order.
