Hey biz. Just wondering what some of you think is going on with the stock market lately. This past week was a rough ride for a lot of biotech stocks. I'm at a loss as to what caused it and am a little worried about it continuing.
Would love to hear your thoughts, advice, memes, etc.
Also, what is your outlook on 401k's? I mean I've done the basics by just checking the past 15-20 year performance but I'm wondering if there is something else I should check.
Here is a set of boobs for your troubles.

Uncertainty.
Brexit is looming. Fed is sending mixed signals. Oil could tank again, any minute.
Nobody is willing to make big investments because of the uncertainty about market conditions beyond a 2 week horizon. Thus, the markets are stagnant, and any headline event sends what's left of the market makers scrambling to pile into whatever sectors benefit like a twisted game of musical chairs. That's why biotech is so wonky.

There's not always a big reason behind a market movement. It may just be a shift in investor sentiment. Sometimes if the market goes down the underlying reasoning is simply because there are more sellers than buyers.

I foresaw the fall of bio-tech more than a year ago. It's far from over. Most of that sector is going to get scrapped.

Seems to be rebounding nicely today. Hope it takes off.
