I dont collect scrap anymore, but with my current consumption. I could prolly make $10 a year if i collected all my scrap cans. Something i dont really care about.. Too much effort.

I bet the guys who own the recycling places make decent money tho

California is a good state to recycle in. Where I'm at it's very piss poor and nobody gives a shit about recycling. There's a place down the street but he only offers about 25 cents a pound for cans. And only takes that copper and brass if the brass is something he's interested in.

it might be better if you had some industrial contacts, and recycle in bulk.. A few cents per pound adds up, if you have truck-loads of product.
