What can you tell me about bonds? How are their returns getting so low but still being purchased? Is there a limit to this and what is the implication for interest rates/governments that carry huge debt?
10 year t-notes are honestly cheap right now. that doesnt mean i expect it to increase in value for a bit, but it's definitely a low point. bonds increase in value with the fed interest rate.

Institutional investors can be forced to buy bonds, regardless of their yield.

They're safe, so in most countries pension funds are legally obligated to invest a huge chunk of their capital in them.
