Where do you guys work? How'd you get the job?
I'm having a hard time finding a minimum wage job. I'm currently employed but only work 1 day a month.
It seems like most places are not hiring or over 10 people apply for the position. I've had five interviews but nothing.

Cool and i love everybody i work with, but I want to do more active trading/algorithm stuff rather than just computer models for yearly trade deals.

Currently clerking for a federal judge. Should make 180k starting after this.

I once covered a shift for my friend when I didn't work there. Walked right into the kitchen and started dishwasher. Didnt apply. Was paid in cash, got the manager fired, and never went back.

Same guy, different ID. It's not bad, we have program review soon, so that's a pain, but it's pretty chill. 2-3 times a year, I have to man a custody post and once a month I have to pat down inmates as they leave the chow hall, but not bad at all.
It's government accounting, so it's nothing like "real" accounting.

People get good jobs by knowing someone. Having someone who works at the company vouch for you will get your resume to the top of the pile. Blindly applying for shit online is going to have a very low probability for success unless the job really sucks and the company is desperate to get someone in.
