Can someone spoonfeed me a rundown on major Stock/Investment/Financial programs out there? As in what you guys use, analytical, etc. I have one year left on this degree and I refuse to believe everyone just lives inside Excel.

Pic related, 3 year analytical stuff I made on S&P500 Stocks. Only took an hour or two to make, but I'm lazy enough where even that's too long.

Because I'm only just learning this stuff now. The course I'm taking is only just starting on Beta / 3-Stock Portfolio analysis now, but I'm finding this stuff fascinating so I wanted to see how else I could apply it.

What's FF3M? I've never even heard of it.

Fama-french 3 factor model.
Just the capm with the size and value premiums added in.

Learn more about premiums like momentum, liquidity, profitability, investment ect.

Oh and beta and standard deviation are bullshit. You care about down side risk not upside
