I was wondering if anyone has ready any books on start-ups that they can recommend.
Like where do you go once you have a growing start up? How do you know who to hire? How do you know when you're in a position to seek venture funding?

Since some other people are asking questions and I don't feel like starting a new thread I'll ask my own:
How do I market myself as, well, a marketer? I took a very big interest in guerrilla marketing and other such out-of-the-box idea like things and helped some friends with marketing their shit like a band, a restaurant, a dog walker, etc.
Now that I'm trying to market myself to other people and businesses so I could maybe make some money off of it I'm coming up completely out of ideas. My mind is almost literally like a void for good ideas for this and it's actually making me pretty mad.
I want to offer a little plausible deniability for the stuff too so no one accuses anyone I'm hired by of actually using someone marketing or anything of the sort, so I can't just go around handing out flyers, you know?
Can anyone give me sort of an inkling of what to do? I have been racking my brain for four days thinking of this and I really have come up with absolutely nothing. You don't understand how angry that makes me.

Best marketing is knowing someone working in an online-tabloid or a well-read blog that will shill your idea in a 'things we find on the net' kind of section.

I already had my stuff covered by some different news sites running their stupid garbage on Facebook but since I was trying to make it look "natural" I couldn't reveal who I was or what I did.
I don't know anyone that works in tabloids or blogs, much to my chagrin.
