I think on top should be buying a house, then a little under that stocks, ETFs, etc.

I don't think CDOs and swaps are so deep.
>>
>>1278462
its not that they're deep but expensive. what does a group of 100 mortgages cost to buy.

This question for all crypto currency shills

I second this motion.

CDOs and MBSs have thousands of mortgages in them, not 100s. I think the minimum investment is like $10k or so
>>
exactly, we know they're there, like giant squid, but most, or just me, don't know any of the details of how they operate.

derivatives require actual value in the underlying.
The value in a crypto isn't there or there would be derivative markets. Its a highly illiquid marketplace, like in real estate.
Most derivatives take the form of a legally binding contract.
On top of that there would be a bonded and insured broker that would likely handle the exchanges.
If actuaries and statisticians can't determine a reasonably smooth and predictable value curve, they can't price their margins and will melt.
These people need some sort of recourse to collect value if you break your contract.

but I did have the money but my cat pissed on my thumbdrive isn't gonna help anybody when its millions of dollars at stake and they need to collect.
