Do the math. The halving is going to make the 3600 bitcoins mined a day go down to 1800. That's less than $1 million dollars worth of bitcoin a day going that aren't being sold immediately. Todays trade volume was $150 million. Its negligible. It's just a tiny fraction of the total volume. In 2 days the trade volume will almost reach the amount of bitcoins mined in a year. 2 days. I think the best thing going for Bitcoin right now is the conflict in the EU between right-wing Eastern Europe states and Marxist Western Europe ones. It looks like Brussels wants to take punitive measures against those who won't gobble migrants down their throats, threatening a penalty of 250,000 Euros per migrant denied. If they follow through, the V4 (The Eastern European EU bloc against more migrants) may need to break off. Bitcoin already has penetration there, and it may be the fastest way for the governments to get off the Euro on on to something with internationally recognized value.
