I'm on track for a 13.5% return over about a year.

Is that good?
It was a conservative investment in 1/3 index funds and 2/3 dow dividend stocks.

No, because you should develop your own strategy. Also because my strategy has to change because the market is changing.

I wouldn't buy more than two or three tickers though. You need to know what you are buying.
