Depends on how your portfolio looks. Do you have a mortgage? Lean towards stocks, you don't need more real estate/RIET exposure.
Personally, I am a short-medium term investors so I'll be just buying the next meme.
Helps that I live with parents and don't have to worry about a mortgage/rent. Might look to buy some cheap properties and rent to nigs but I'll wait for downturn for that.

Stocks are easy to buy and sell, so they don't tie you down like property does, and they can usually have bigger % returns.
Property has risk, of course, but less so than stocks
Major funds go into bigger things like property, while I invest the money I don't need in my checking account to trade stocks
Really, why limit yourself to one? To answer your question, though, I'd say property.
Haven't done that much on the stock stuff, so I'd say property but just because I know it pretty well.
