is this a good investing app for beginners?
>>
no
it's terrible
don't pollute your mind with it

use robinhood
>>
it is actually quite good.
about as safe as you can get.
super easy
gives you exposure to a range of different markets/bonds
all the day trader fags dont like it because its more of a long term play.

It's good. I'm in Aus and use it as a savings account. I've had it since Jan and it's currently at 5.5%. Obviously this is not a guaranteed return and could change tomorrow but I'll keep depositing till it hits the $5000 mark then withdraw it and put it into something more tangible.

Fucking thing keeps locking me out of my damn bank account so I say no.

what's wrong with robinhood?
>>

My buddy put in $5 and made $14, then made $40 from $10 (he just used some spare change, essentially, lol)

I'd say go for it if you don't want to learn stock trading yourself.

so is it just a good set it and forget it while it makes you some extra spending money on the side, but not as good as doing it all yourself?
>>
What type of portfolio are you all using? I'm using the most aggressive one.
>>

Most places don't have RB
>>
>>1268063
moderate one
up 3.63% no bad considering you dont really have to do any market research

It's probably better than doing it all yourself, because investing in individual stocks (like a lot of the people here) is a crapshoot, at best. Most people with moderate savings rely on the overall growth of the market, not picking a few specific stocks. They spend their time learning something valuable to the overall market, and invest their extra money in retirement accounts or brokerages with diversified products.

Use it in addition to your own portfolio. Make it literally a spare change dump.

Or just put $10 in every week. Forget about it for a long while, check back at that savings fund you just put away at a better growth rate than any bank account.
