So I'm looking to get this $1000+ laptop from this guy for ~$250 on a deep web site, I'm pretty sure it's bought with stolen credit cards, what could go wrong here?

Well if he cards it directly from the site to your drop, depends how strong your drop is. If you don't even have a drop and are sending it directly to your house and name, you are probably going to get a knock on your door asking why stolen merchandise is going to you and will be charged.

Charged as in police charge like theft, not value wise sent an invoice. Never did such things, but I assume carding will get LE attention on that level.
