Just a webpage with some info and pics is very cheap, think 10 bucks a year for the domain name and 10 or 20 a month for hosting.

Domain $10-$20/year, some are more expensive
Hosting starting at $5/month
Actual website ranging from free if you make it yourself, through $100 for something simple (e.g. static pages or Wordpress with custom theme), or more for full interactive website/web application, web store integration, etc.

Is $500 reasonable for a bare bones design? Also I need a way to collect payment. When I started I was using paypal. I had several orders filled and was doing very well but then one lady apparently complained or charged it back or something and they refunded her $2000 without consulting me or doing any sort of due diligence whatsoever. They froze my account and kind of screwed the whole business plan from there. Would square be a better option? Id really rather not do bitcoin as most of the population doesnt into crypto

The easier your website is to make, the more likely you can rope in someone for cheap and still be sure it works. Note that basic webdev does not give you UX design or SEO and only a few do it all
