I'm jelly as fuck of people who inherit shit like houses or hundreds of thousands of dollars.

My grandparents are probably worth a couple mill but I have 5 aunts / uncles and 20 cousins, so I probably won't see much of anything from that.

My parents make assloads but always bought high, sold low, always lost hundreds of thousands on their homes, so they have very little savings.

I'm 26 and worked my ass off just to get ~70k net worth now and it seems completely nothing compared to money my parents made and wasted. Unless I seriously increase my income I'm going to be wage cuck for a while.

My father just died, and I am settling his estate.

I will end up inheriting about 150k from him

I plan on doing him proud by buying a house out of foreclosure, fixing it and selling it.

I want to do this a few times until I can build up enough capital to own several rental houses to sustain me with rental income.

None of my grandparents had life insurance, my parents still have a negative net worth

All my grand parents left debts and so has my father so I'm in the red right now, but if I play my cards right I think I can get my children to front the bill when I'm dead, I'll be dodging a big bullet and be happy to break even at $0 eventually.

Nothing yet, meng. But when my folks pass on, it'll probably be less than a million for both my sister and I.

They were frugal but did nothing in terms of investing.

It'll make an uptick in my net worth, but nothing life changing.
