It's good to keep a container by your bed to put change in. You can empty your coat/pants before you sleep. Same with your car, but everyone has one (just keep it tidy).

i keep change on a glass plate every day i go home and empty my pocket of change.
sometimes if i don't have enough cash momentarily i pay the pizza dude out of that heap.
when it gets too big i go to the post office with it.

Any time I pay in cash (which is often) and I get change, I immediately throw the pennies on the ground. Wherever I am the pennies immediatley drop. I litter pennies every where I go. It is my form of protest against this useless coin.
