Excel, Tableau, Qlikview, SAS and a few others are a little easier from what I understand.
Python, R and Matlab have a lot more capabilities/flexibility (e.g. larger volumes of data) but are a real pain in the dick to use, even for basic things, and usually create stuff that's ugly as sin.

Learn R programming language. You literally just write "cor(var1, var2)" to get correlation.
