Hey /biz/, what's it like being obsessed with the accumulation of something that will never provide you with fulfilment?

>no fulfillment
I enjoy nature and music, thus having enough money to retire into a NEET/trader lifestyle is 3-4 years away.
I'll be moving to Eastern Europe or maybe near Berlin. I'll have 1M to boot, currently 30 y/o with 620K saved. I've worked 80 hours a week for the past 2 years after opening a small business. God bless Provigil.

This is the second time in a few days I've seen someone on /biz/ advocating doping to succeed in business/school.
I'm kind of curious about it.
I'm not obsessed with money, I am a minimalist but I still need money to fund the meager things I like to do like computers, my truck and home.

Why are you explaining yourself?
There is nothing wrong with wanting money, anyone that think money is evil or isn't a necessity to of life in a 1st world is delusional or virtue signaling.

Whats it like trading away a third of your life to get just enough to keep the charade that is your weekend life going?
I didnt make the world how it is but I sure as shit sont intend to do 9 to 5 til I croak like losers of your ilk
it's not about money for the sake of money. it's that the more that i have to my name, the less i can worry about the future, and the more i can focus on the things and hobbies that do make me happy.
