Hey, /biz/. It's storming hard as fuck and I close t'night at work. It's at least 8 miles of roads without lighting on the 30 minute commute to work, and the storming isn't supposed to let up by the time I leave.
It's a min. wage job and I honestly don't want to risk my life being drowsy and driving on dark, stormy roads.
Should I just call out for the shift with a bs excuse? It'll still count as a no-call no-show since you can't call out without a replacement and I can't get one on such short notice.
use Uber
Just say your road is flooded and you cant safely get there
Who gives a shit if you get written up for a minimum wage job
Minimum pay minimum effort

I would, but my employer knows the area too well to buy it/he'd check the news to validate.
>>1221955
I actually try to work hard since I'm not doing shit else when I'm on the clock, but the last time I drove home in a storm after close, I don't even remember how I made it. I literally just remember leaving work and being home.
