What age did you realize you should stop dicking around with video games and drugs and start putting your time spent on the computer to useful productive shit like making money?
I wasted pretty much 8+ years (17-25) spending all my free time getting stoned and drunk listening to music and playing video games. I never quit drugs long enough to realize how much of a fucking retard I am.

I was into computers when I was a kid. could have a glorious career in tech now, instead spent the greater part of a decade inside a dumb fantasy world, while the tech field evolved extremely rapidly and now I'm getting started on a career extremely late . feels pretty bad idk
it's not too late OP. maybe your wildest dreams won't come true but at 25 you have plenty of time to craft a nice life for yourself and be successful. I was never really interested in video games. I get bored with them pretty easily... in middle/high school I mainly bought the most popular games and played them to say I did. The only games I occasionally play are strategy based, like EU4, Solitaire, or a stock market simulator. Over all, I'm more interested in coding or reading than vidya.

If you can get about 3-4 guys an hour for 4 hours at 20 bucks a dude, you could make $360 bucks on a good night, tax free. I'm the literal opposite. I've wasted years 16 - 28 working too hard and being a nerd. I have no friends no gf. Still not made a lot of money. And now thinking about trying getting drunk and/or drugs to find a way out of my burned out depression and get some kind of happiness.

Last year, I'm 22 now.
Since I was 19 years old I would take a summer job and save most of the money and blow it on computers, cell phones and stuff for me and senpai, most stuff Is useful and always bought sutff with bigs savings. Just last years decided to save for my own car, stop caring for cell phones, computers, games etc. This summer gonna save the rest to get the a proper car and part of it to open a small business with my parents while I finish my CE degree and get started in a company related to the field but still have 1 year of university. Hopefully will have 1 year real field experience when I graduate. Games feel more like a chore than fun, only play online with friends but its like 1 to 4 hours a week at most, changed games for exercise, to bad I have addiction for the chans and internet.

On the plus side I have all my education and am qualified for the career I want, on the negative side I have no clue how I'm going to make sure that I get a lot of money from it and how to get in.
