I'm not going to argue the merits of a particular OS. What I mean is programs that are modular, log errors, have a consistent UI, and export a usable API. I have worked with so many people that couldn't put a Quit button in the same place twice, let alone debug their pile of 3Rd party frameworks, and certainly not program any feature not found in them. I'm tired of having to write my own software for everything.
