Let me learn you a thing or two. This threat has been known to scientists for a long time and contingencies have been made to prepare for it. We have a big ass satellite pointed at the sun to detect anomalies of this sort and it gives us fair warning. Procedure is to shit down the grid prior to it hitting which would mitigate most of the damage done. Most likely big countries would be very secure, but third world shit holes would probably be wrecked.

If we were to run electric it through the grid, the anomaly would fry transformers and possibly melt power lines....a killing could be made manufacturing transformers though the government has a contingency to devote production and resources to current manufacturing sources.
