I've always given myself raises by investing. It's really risky to rely on your job these days.

I don't get a raise because my company doesn't give raises to part time workers. :^)
It's OK though because it's just a part-time retail job to give me money for school. On top of that the base pay I'm getting is already higher than any other retail job and pretty much any on campus job I could have gotten.
