So here's my question. I have been selling on Ebay for 10 years. Never had a single issue. Today I get a request to return an item.

Well now he issued a refund request saying "wrong item and defective" that the item doesnt fit his car and that there are multiple issues with it that they're aren't. Just outright lies.
Am I still gonna get paid? No way in fuck I'm refunding this idiot his money.

Noob question:
I start listing in ebay my RA/OA and there is catalog listing with everything on it. Just click and listing but there are some that doesnt have catalog, so I list from scratch, then it asked me for photos... all the policies for photos are DO NOT UPLOAD OTHER PEOPLE PHOTOS. Everyone is using the same google images photos.
Is listing with the same photo as everyone else a bad idea?

As a buyer and a seller I don't like stock images. I prefer to see the exact product that's for sale. It's understandable for large quantities but still, just a few photos takes 5 minutes tops

Most of the time, those big box retailers automatically accept the returns and then force their suppliers/vendors to eat the loss. Normally this doesn't happen but Wal-Mart, Target and Amazon can bully around manufacturers.

If a case was filed, document your messages to eBay Customer Service. They have authority to review all communication as long as they're eBay messages. If he tips his card and says they're not fitting into his F150 while advertised as a Ford Mustang, eBay CS can close the claim, then ban him from leaving negative feedback for that transaction. It's a 50/50 case, but you have to approach eBay CS as a completely level , but passionate tone.
The only time I've seen people upset at their listings and images were copied is when the offender does a 1:1 (100%) copy. That includes the listing title, which for whatever reason Chinese people love to do as means to undercut competitors. Anyways, the owner has full authority by messaging the offender first, then if no action, he can contact eBay to have the offender's listing taken down -- or have eBay account suspended.

As a small time eBay seller I never accept returns.... why would you? I dont care about the buyer, FUCK THEM. I hate them.
Now, if I were trying to make a living off of eBay then I would. But there is zero incentive for people who just dont give a fuck.
Ive fought every buyer over the last 9 years and have won every time (granted most were scammers and easily spotted). I will own up to my mistakes and fix them, like when the idiot at the UPS store screwed up an address...
eBay can be rage inducing though. thats for sure.
When people try to claim some BS first thing I do is spend a few hours dealing with it by calling paypal and eBay. If I show genuine effort and keep all evidence I never loose.

Even with a restocking fee eBay would force a full refund if the buyer won a case.
When you can win a case where the buyer says he didn't receive what he ordered (with fabricated images showing a missing piece which he blatantly cropped out of the photo) then you can talk.

They tell me I have 6 days to respond after receiving the item. I need to wait for the item to come back before I claim that it isn't what I had sent. I have photo evidence of the item I sent and we will see what I get. They provided the pictures claiming that's what I had sent them.
