I have small business questions that I want quick opinions on but certainty don't warrant a thread.

I'm researching a way to build a chat. Nicer than IRC, I'm pretentious and that's too outdated. I'd like to build a totally open-source site on Debian with multiple chatrooms related to topics like business and tech where people can drop in and out with questions.
If I do, can I post it here? I'd have no intention of making money from it.
