What ETH based application do you want/need?

r/safemarket
>safemarket is a decentralized marketplace where you setup your own online shop and sell products/services over the ethereum network
>Privacy (your ip address cant be tracked while surfing SafeMarket)
>Availability/Scalability (Merchants dont have to keep their computer on all the time or worry about ddos attacks).

Sport betting site.

No profit Upwork.

JewOnline, a typical free-to-lose MMO except with Ethereum-integration, all in-game items can be traded amongst players as virtual tokens on the blockchain.

Premium subscription fees are paid with fiat through an online account or with JewSHEKS, a currency in Ethereum that is issued and accepted by the game devs.

I guess the devs can also profit by levying a fee whenever an item enters and leaves the game world.

I'm already conceptualizing a very simple but fun little game that I think will be wildly profitable. There's no point explaining the mechanics but I think it could be a massive success if I market it properly and gains traction.

Like most of these games however, it largely depends on wether a large enough crowd finds it interesting fast enough. If you fail to reach critical user mass people just lose interest as a small player pool is a clear turn off.

been saying buy xem for awhile

ether is over Nem is better non russian tech.,

cheers
>>
>>1129536
Good luck with that shit.
>>
>>1129411
None. I think decentralized apps you have to pay for are stupid. I'll stick with the free centralized ones that I use currently.
>>
>>1129551
Who said anything about paying? You can MAKE money through decentralised apps
>>
>>1129551
if you're not paying for the product , the product is you
>>
>>1129556
I'm answering OPs question. I don't want/need any decentralized app that I have to buy ether to use. I like free apps.
>>
>>1129569
>>1129569
Even if it does what an existing app does but overall cheaper or better?

You mean you wouldnt use a decentralised version of airbnb even if it was 25% more profitable just because you would need ether to use it?

If thats the case maybe you should remove the stick from your ass
>>
>>1129576
Absolutely. I'm against the principle of paying for apps. Also, I don't think they will be cheaper. If they are I am sure the centralized qpps will lower their prices to compete.
>>
>>1129583
I don't think they can. Airbnb has ceo's and back office staff to pay. A decentralised version would have none of that.
>>
>>1129583
Do you even know what airbnb is and how it works? The app itself is free. You are paying to rent someones house through a middleman. If theres no middleman to pay it becomes cheaper.
>>
>>1129588
And the creator of an airbnb decentralized app wont charge a service fee for people who use it? Bullshit. Not to mention the ether you have to pay for. I'm sure airbnb will compete fine.
>>
>>1129594
Thats what you think
>>
>>1129596
Yes it is.
>>
>>1129590
The app is not free.
Say I rent apartment for 45$.
The guest will have to pay 50$ to rent it.

No wonder websites like that regularly "prohibit" communication by mail with potential guests.
>>
>>1129601
Same shit with a decentralized app. It would just be the devs charging you that $5 in a form of a service fee. Or $4 so they can undercut airbnb. Then airbnb has to come back and match it or offer a better service. This is business 101 guys. The thing you are forgetting to take into account however is the mental roadblock that people have to get past of buying a commodity just to use an app. Its extra steps that take effort. I just dont think its going to fly. I wouldnt use it.
>>
>>1129536
Why shill for a nxt clone when you can shill nxt?
>>
>>1129601
What i was saying is the app is free to download. But you pay more to rent because you are not paying the owner of the flat direct you are paying for airbnb ceo's hookers and blow.

Also, when people discover they can rent their apartments out and keep more of the money airbnbs supply of flat owners will dry up.
>>
>>1129626
Replace CEO with "devs" and there is your decentralized app. The fees will be the same except with your app people have to buy Ether to use it. Its a stupid concept.
>>
>>1129626

Unless they believe that Airbnb provides a better service for the transaction than whatever ethercuck platform is available.
>>
>>1129635
Not really tho. Devs won't make money like that. And there wont be any admin costs because it will all be handled by smart contracts.
>>
>>1129636
But what do they provide?

Insurance? - ethinsure
Deposit? - smart contract
Vetting? - reputation oracle

People who are a million times smarter than you have this all covered. Thats why they are investing their entire lives in to making it happen.

By next year you will be using ethereum without even realising it dummy
>>
>>1129639
>devs wont charge as much money as they can get away with
Oh to be young and naive again. Also, I ike those "admin costs". Part of that includes advertising and brand recognition. When I put my house up to be rented out I want it people to be lining up to rent it because the airbnb site is recognized, used and trusted.

You think these dapps wont have huge advertising budgets? You ever heard of a DAO?
Plus a million shills like the one you're arguing with right now? Lol

A new piracy platform based on distributed file hosting and a small ether cost per unit of file downloaded. A pirate bay that could never ever be taken down.
>>
>>1129651
You think people are gonna give up their free time to shill for airbnb? Sorry those companies are dead.
>>
>>1129650
>huge advertising budgets
Thats my point dummy. How is that any different from centralized apps. You think decentralized apps wont have admin costs that the devs will pass along to you in the form of a service fee? You dont understand business too well do you?
>>
>pay a small amount of ether to watch HD fetish porn without giving personal info

mite b cool
>>
>>1129655
>but ETH shills will do all our advertising for us!
Isnt that kindof counterintuitive? Eth shills are more annoying and uneducated than MLM schemes.

Not all of them are as much of a cunt as me. You're just getting me because I've taken it upon myself to shill the living fuck out of this forum out of sheer bloodymindedness.

I can just see how the converasyion with even the "reasonable" ones will go

>use ethbnb! Its a new decentralized app where you can rent out someones place! Its cheaper than airbnb. Airbnb charges 10% and ethbnb only charges 8%!
>sounds cool. how do I use it?
>Well you have to go to this other site where you have to buy "gas" first. Currently gas is at $10/ gallon...
>lol nvm

Paid wifi with smart contracts.

I have a password protected wifi network.

He pays a fee in ETH per MB of used data.

Mad people type a lot of responses especially when they are clarifying something. This was proven through a study at UC Berkley where a thousand people were asked to respond to different topics on an online Mongolian snake charming forum and their brainwaves were studied. It was noted that those who typed 2 or more consecutive responses showed the same brain patterns as those who had just been punched in the face.

Yeah, it's already been done with real money i.e. fiat but I can't find it. It has some disadvantages like: downloading illegal stuff under your IP address, sniffing of packages.
I won't even mention how hard it is yet to run something ethereum.
