You should probably spread your shit out more than that. $10K in an index fund, for example, $10K in some high risk stuff, $10K in dividend paying stocks, and $20K in arms companies that sell to the US government.

Take your age and subtract that from 100. So if you're 25, you would get 75. Put 75% into a total stock market index fund. Invest the rest in whatever speculation you'd like (growth stocks, penny stocks, crypto, commodities, etc.).

OP, do some learning first. ETFs are fine but in order to build an optimal portfolio you have to calculate expected return, standard deviation etc, keep the correlation of the various assets in mind and generally do your homework.
