/adv/ can't help me because it's nothing but /r9k/-tier issues.
I'm going to be 25 in October and I still haven't gone to college. How can I un-goof myself? I need to find some sort of career path for myself but I don't know what's profitable these days. It seems like everything people tell me is what was actually popular 5 years ago and is now flooded with students.

Why would I pursue a career that isn't profitable?
Work is work, you go there to perform some tasks that require a certain skillset in exchange for money. It isn't deeper than that. It isn't a game, it's a requirement for those who want to live comfortably. For the most part, a huge chunk of people don't wake up every day loving what they do. They got into the position they're at because it was available to them and the salary and/or benefits were appealing.
The only childish mindset would be waiting around denying every opportunity because it isn't my "dream job" or "passion."

there is no "one size fits all". Your job prospects are going to be effected by your location, then your skills. Decide what you want to do and where. Most importantly, you need to make your own decisions

We don't know anything about you other than your age and that you're presumably human, and likely a bit of a fuckup.
No one could honestly assess you with just that.
