Then you're Milton from Office Space. Still hated his job and nobody liked or valued him.
Shit job, BUT at large banks it is a 9-5 job, more regulations means more people needed and you have a much higher stability than the front office that is gutted when the economy sneezes.
You can also eventually strike big and be something like one of the IT or operations head and you will be paid as an executive and won't have to take shit from other areas anymore. You are also guaranteed a job for life as long as the bank doesn't go under.
Information security guys at my bank never spend 3 minutes past 5 ever.
