Anyone here have a woodworking business? Do you need to register your design when you make a product? What would happen if i were to make the bench in the picture and start selling it? Would i be stealing someone's design? I can't find any information on the bench
You're thinking of patents but you really can't patent a bench.
From all accounts I've heard from woodworking people expect Ikea prices for custom furniture. You'll maybe recoup the cost of lumber.

Not a lawyer but I'm pretty sure they would have to have some sort of ownership of the design and I don't know how the fuck you could claim you own the design of a bench. Do it a bit different if you're really paranoid.
