I run a fairly popular twitter account (100K+ followers) and I'm looking for the best way to make money through advertising revenue. There are many accounts out there who do URL promotion and get paid by other sites or those who those link to their own sites or articles or use Google AdSense. I have very little knowledge about any of this but I'm willing to learn.
how did you get that level of followers

it seems like no one here knows anything about digital marketing. it's a space I'm curious about; just decided to actually go at tumblr via an alt-lit niche
Digital advertising is where it's at apparently. I'm not sure how hard it is to gain exposure through tumblr but if there is a space or forum online that specializes in digital as revenue as it pertains to social media I'm not aware of it. Most Google search results lead to stuff about small businesses and websites.

idk about ad revenue on twitter but if you have a decent niche there are thousands of affiliate programs out there.

Did you buy those followers or did you build up organically?
I have a fair amount (all organic) but I'm nowhere close to 100k.
Tips for pushing the 100k mark?

They were built up over the years, and RTing other accounts n chatting up people who reply is a good way to get community rep

One other thing. It means a lot more to RT individuals that might have a low count than to just RT accounts that are already popular.
