Who /ynab/ here? What does your budget look like. What am I missing or have too much off.

You just need to make more money. Autismos are going to tell you to cut back on going out but really you aren't spending that much on entertainment
>>
I almost forgot to come back.

>>1096664

I make about 800 a check, but yes, I feel like I pay way too much in rent, thanks, SoCal. Hopefully I can cancel my phone service and switch to something like Net10. $35 is too much on clothes?

>>1096680

Is that too much?

>>1096686

Yeah, I get simi-yearly raises. Also waiting for supervisor position to pop up, because I'm basically next in line for it. That would be bring me about 1920 each check before taxes rather than 1200.
>>
>>1096688
>Is that too much
Not enough it seems.

I wouldn't pay more than $300 on groceries, but $50 seems quite low.
>>
Genuinely curious how you live on $50 groceries?
>>
>>1096776
They don't. They live with mom and dad and don't realize how much they are gonna spend yet.

If you spend $100 a month at Costco, then you can spend $150 at a regular grocery. That's $250 watching your spending.

Keep in mind also that "food" is usually other things like toilet paper.
>>
>>1096884
>>1096776

Ham sandwiches everyday. Why is that so hard to believe?I add spinach too.
>>
>>1097315
Ham isn't cheap you dumbfuck. If you want to go poormode on $50 get some red beans, rice, spices and chicken.
>>
>>1097331
Technically for all macro and micronutrients its broccoli. Sweet potato. Beans. Rice. Milk. Sunflower seeds. Oil and a b vitamin

About 3.50 a day. Very bland. Lots of chewing

$50 is really tough but you can get protein on sale sometimes at supermarkets

Got almost $4lbs of chicken for a little under $3. Couple that with getting a huge bag (20lb?) of brown rice/beans from costco and you might make it at around $50 or over. Maybe go to farmers markets on the weekends to get produce for cheap. Also stock up on pasta and potatoes for carbs.
>>
>>1097336
Where are your irons and zincs coming from with that? And don't say the beans; plant based iron and zinc are next to impossible to absorb, and they already have low amounts.

Here's mine from last month.

>>1096638
Do you live completely on your own? There's no way you spend $50/mo on food. Unless you're eating straight up beans, rice and peanut butter every night.
>>
>>1097685
Gas for your car and your home both came to exactly $56?

Also $18 eating out, well done
>>
>>1097701
Rounded to the nearest dollar, yeah. It was unseasonably warm here last month for Jan.
>>
Just get the frugal mentality and you won't need a budget ever.

All the people I know that look how much money they are "allowed" to spend live paycheck to paycheck or have debts.

And I live in an extremely wealthy country so it's not like they're paid shit wages at all.

Where the fuck is rent $360? You couldn't rent a fucking tent for that much where I live
>>
>>1097774
Looks like they paid 360 per paycheck. Also, I used to share a house with rent at $285 a share. I live alone now and it's $1100.
>>
MFW paying 1200 a month to rent a room. -_-
>>
>>1096688
Honestly your rent isn't bad for California. You just don't really look like you can afford it. Good rule of thumb is that rent should be about 1/3 of your monthly income. In your case I imagine if you go any lower you're looking at ghetto tier apartments. Really you just need to earn more.

> $50 groceries

I spend around $200/mo for groceries while living alone in the suburbs (all of which is in bulk). Unless you go full poverty-tier I don't think it's possible to do it while staying healthy/satisfied.

Is this the best budget app for iPhone? I need to get one but I don't know enough about budgeting to know which one is best
>>
>>1096638
You know, a budget works much better when you have fixed paydays. If you're paid biweekly, against fixed bill due dates, everything shifts all over.
>>
>>1098936
that's why you torrent stuff before you want to watch it
keep The Notebook and some other sappy stuff on hand

Wew lad.
>>
>>1099945
I'm pretty sure that just points the player to a torrent like PopcornTime

maybe do some research faggot
>>
>>1099951
Wroooooong. It grabs the movie from about 100 different torrent sites simultaneously for a live stream. Popcorn time is slow and centralized. Kodi is fast and decentralized.

It was for 2 vehicles and went down now due to some changes I made. Now $100/mo for both.

Pic related is for 6 months premium.

Pic related. It's for 3 lines total. The total I pay is actually $62 for 2 lines, the other person pays me theirs so it offsets the difference.

Again for two people. Yes I'm a faggot though for attempting to prove this shit like a poor version of iHazAidz

On the subject of groceries, is a Costco membership worth it if I'm only shopping for one?
>>
Does any one else just buy groceries as they need them? I go to the store a few times a week to get food. I find it saves me money by not wasting on food I don't eat. Its a little inconvenient, but I drive by the store everyday anyways
>>
>>1097913
Yeh, I've been playing around on exchanges. I've doubled my money.

>>1099915
It's mint.com. It's free and owned by intuit and hooks up with a lot of different accounts and it automatically categorizes stuff. I year YNAB requires more hands on work. Mint does have a lot of advertisements in it for services but I don't mind.
>>
>>1100399
I personally don't think so. If you shop there, you'll still need to go to the regular grocery store as you won't be buying everything from costco. If you're able to share an account with a friend, you could save money on the membership fees that way. They don't verify your address so just lie on the form and say you live together.

If you're interested in saving money, keep an eye on the sunday papers. You can even look up the sunday coupons for your local grocery stores using google. They're always a reliable source of savings on staple items. I haven't had a costco membership for a few years now.
>>
>>1100441
>mint.com
GNU Cash is a free alternative software with budgeting capability. No need to rely on the internet or third parties for access your budget information plus all of your habits aren't stored in the 'cloud'

>>1100447
I agree I had a sams club membership which is the equivalent of costco. I seemed to end up spending more with negligible savings since those stores just encourage you to consume more.

Sunday ads and coupons are definitely the way to go.

Would could be useful threads always go without reply bumped off into the archives. Anyone else notice that?

I wonder if it's because the poll is accurate and this board really is a bunch of NEETs.
