/biz/ I have a tax issue I need help with.

Since I'm a dumb college student, I didn't file my 1098-t for the past two years. My scholarships or grants was $5,679 and Amount Billed was $4,619.50. I talked to a tax guy when he was walking out, but he said since the scholarships and grants were higher than amount billed, I wouldn't get anything from filling it? Is that true?
