What is the cheapest place to live in Canada? I'm in BC and it seems like staying here would be ideal because of the tax rates in other provinces. I've thought about moving East but looking at their provincial tax rates has given me some serious second thoughts. Are there any particular places with low costs of living?
Side note: Fuck Vancouver housing prices.

Montreal housing cheap af, paying 629 rent for a 19th floor apt downtown skyline view, recently renovated, 1 block away from my university (mcgill) and walkscore of 95

Wew lad, check out the price of groceries before you go. Also it's nighttime for half of the year. Bugs rape you in summer.
Small towns not booming anywhere are the cheapest for a reason. I don't think there is much difference between the provinces with tax, the feds take about 1/4 and so do the provinces when all is said and done, less if you are below poverty which is technically 20G a year or something, in reality about 40G a year these days.
