always check whats going on in terms of news before you trade. if you're an amateur and don't know how to trade news then it is best to stay out of the market at these times as they are usually volatile and fast moving. Yellen said some shit about the US economy and the markets responded.

If the economy shits the bed and cash isn't worth anything, what currency will countries use to trade? If you look at the charts gold has spiked every time we've had a recession because that's what people will fall back on
