I'm 18 and not sure what to do.
I was home schooled, so no HS diploma, no job, no money etc.
I could go to college (either CC two years and transfer, or press my luck with SAT scores and personal projects trying to get a scholarship), then get a job and make some money so that later in life I won't be poor.
Thing is, I don't want that, it sounds like shit to me, I want to do my own thing.
But I'm afraid that if I start now, I will not have the logistics to get off the ground and I'll end up wasting my youth doing things that won't profit me.
Conversely, I'm afraid that if I go to college, get a job etc then I may live normally for once, maybe even be pretty well off, but altogether only manage a mediocre existence with no real influence on the world.
The thing I hate most is doing nothing, which is what I've been doing all of this time.
My skills are programming and music, both of which I can do professionally, but doing one or the other for too long makes me miserable and ultimately degrades my proficiency at the thing I'm not currently doing, which only furthers my discontent.
What do?
