I'm interviewing for a very nice job tomorrow. I think I'm in good shape for it, but they just emailed me to say that I need references from supervisors at each of the previous jobs I have listed on my resume. One of these jobs was a remote position and I had no real sustained face-to-face contact with any particular supervisor there, so I'm not sure getting a reference is even possible. How do I fake this instead? I was thinking about setting up a fake business email, is that a good idea?

Pic unrelated.

Why would it be bad if you had no supervisor? Just get one reference and that will be enough. If you never worked long enough anywhere then bargain for a probation period and bullshit about how much you know. Unless it's small company people barely give a shit about references.
