Do you need to register as foreign business in Nevada if all your business is done online?

I'm a US citizen been living in Japan on and off selling random stuff online for pocket money. I'm moving back soon and I wanted to make an LLC so I could have a partner in the states help with tech stuff and expand into a legitimate small business. Neither of us are residents of Nevada but everything I've read says Nevada has better legal protection.

Can I file my taxes for this with Nevada?
