Why didn't you buy XEM, /biz/?
>>
>>1074116
Nice.
>>
What's special about XEM?
>>
>>1074116
Uhgggggggggg seriously dammit
>>
>>1074122
Absolutely nothing just a little pump on a no name small cap shitcoin.
>>
>>1074199
A no name small cap shit coin that I made an over 50% return on in a week :^)
>>
>>1074204
Well done bro. Now take your profit and get back into ETH the pump isnt over.
>>
>>1074209
I'll get back into ETH when it hits bottom again in April
>>
>>1074217
Ok mate... Dont say you weren't warned.
>>
>>1074116
Fuck. I saw you all tossing this out over that past two days and completely ignored it. I hope ethereum pays off
>>
>>1074116
Shitcoins gonna shit. The hard part is telling when they are going to shit and when they just shat.
>>
Where are you picking up your pre-pump chatter?
>>
>>1074404
Just looking at the charts m8. This one was still reasonably close to the bottom with a steady rise and good support. I figured I had a higher than 51% chance of profiting
>>
>>1074410
When you say good support....you mean?
>>
>>1074427
High volume of buy orders at or slightly below the market price
>>
>>1074447
Thank you, that's very interesting. Are there any other coins you're currently watching and trading?
>>
>>1074476
I'm in XMR and XRP at the moment but not expecting anything big out of them. I keep an eye out for mid to low-volume alts that are slowly bottoming out or gaining momentum, and I buy when I think there is the least risk of losing. I don't have any one alt centring my attention right now, but I always do the bulk of my scouting at night when I have my laptop, it's hard to get an accurate read on mobile
>>
Got some of this a month ago. Nice.
Should probably dump now and rebuy later.
>>
>>1074509
I sold half of mine at 177 (one below peak) and rebought at 146 (one above rally point) I'm pretty happy with myself right now :^) got incredibly lucky
>>
is a pump happening rn senpais?
>>
>>1074513
you FU/cvbo1, I doubt your are going to get lucky with that ID
>>
>>1074505
I'm guessing you only trade on a few trusted exchanges like Poloniex? I was looking at some of the Chinese exchanges with quite exotic coins like Rhino - large volumes, but a bit too remote to entrust funds
>>
>>1074534
Polo almost exclusively. Great selection of alts, nice UI and great features, more being added all the time.
>>
Can one of you fine gentlemen point me in the direction of where I can learn about this Altcoin trading business.

Why arent you back in ETH /biz/?
>>
>>1074553
Just jump in. No quicker way to learn than by losing a ton of money. Sounds harsh but after you've experienced something like that you come up with great strategies on how not to let it happen again, and you'll make it all back in no time
>>
>>1074553
^ what he said
>>
>>1074561
>>1074567
That's my usual go to, but I feel like I'm missing some simple dos and don'ts, but I'm probably just over thinking it.
>>
>>1074549
I need to take a look at volumes. It'd be ideal to be able to trade $1000 or so per trade - any idea if the depth is there on the coins you favour?
>>
>>1074572
Trade thoughtfully. A few trades at 5-10% profit will provide great gains in aggregate. Don't chase large swings - if you capture some, just regard it as good fortune. Take regular consistent gains, and take the anxiety/emotion out of it
>>
>>1074410
You mentioned you "had a higher than 51% chance of profiting" - can you describe your process to arrive at a level of certainty?

You have to catch the special bus not to see this a shit investment with a cool sounding name.

Far from certainty, but this is the one I'm looking at now. It has a recent history of decent volume, the price has corrected back to somewhere near the bottom, and it has a slow and steady uptrend. I don't expect anything to happen for weeks, if at all, and losing money is always a risk, but buying a coin this close to the bottom, your potential gains are much higher than your potential losses.
>>
>>1075629
the buy wallls ewwwwwwwwwwwww
>>
>>1075646
What is a buy wall? I'm a noob at trading.
>>
>>1075671
A buy wall is
>>1074447

Which is considered a good thing unless you are shorting.
>>
Ethereum pump is not even started. All im seeing is fat green candles everywhere. Better get into ETH while you can still make 100X your money instead of in a few months when you can only make 10X
>>
>>1075720
Ethereum will either slide all the way down to cents, or soar to low double digits, depending on how the very first few applications built for it perform. I'm along for the ride with half a btc. Praise Vitalik!
>>
>>1075758
All hail
>>
>>1075629
That's an interesting note, thank you.

One things that pops out at me, is trade volumes. Cumulatively, it looks like an invetment would be around 0.01BTC or less...so that while the margin at turnaround could be impressive double-digits, it has a modest cash value. Is that right?
>>
Bumping to keep thread alive
>>
Why buy nem when nxt exists
>>
>>1074116
Shitcoins are parallel to penny stocks.
Massive volatility, low amount of security, and generally worthless. I could just screen shot a stock going from .0001 to .0002 and say the same shit you shitcoiners do.
>>
>>1079434
This.

Except penny stocks have some worth.
>>
>>1074116
How do i even buy these coins like XEM and ETH? Same places to buy bitcoins?
>>
>>1079434
>1 Bitcoin: $380 USD

What do you base any of this rampant speculation on?
>>

What's your view on factom
>>
I'd keep an eye on MINT if I was a good for nothing coin slinging faggot
>>
>>1080438
MINT is a good shout, but it looks like the pump has peaked with near 300% variance in 1 mth

I'm fucking telling you guys, combine our stupid community to vote this shot up it will jump the same price as ripple xrp around 2000. Buy for 150 each of voted on the azure platform. This is like legal pumping and dumping. Geeze
>>
>>1074116
A 40% increase in a crypto is a daily occurence. What was the actual 24h market vap though?

Kind of unimpressive at 20k.

You cant capitalize on big increases like that without liquidity
>>
>>1081767
You don't "vote" currencies up. This isn't fucking reddit.
>>
>>1081753
>>1081791
