Subcontracting Advice Needed

I injured my back and have to have surgery for herniated disc's (two of them). I run a one man snow removal company and now have to subcontract out all of my work.
That's been trouble. Because I can do it for relatively cheap, I've kept my price way down. Also, I have a bit of a corner on the market down my way. All companies I've found charge more for their services and some aren't interested in doing work in my part of town. However, the contract I use says I'll find a replacement if I can't do the work that costs no more than what I would charge.
What do I do? If I subcontract out to someone that charges more, I have to pay the difference? No one is willing to do it at the rate I was charging.
