Another more likely scenario (assuming you live in the US) would be that someone sees you burying a large object in the woods and assumes that it's a body. The police end up investigating and discover your gold, which they then irrecovably seize through civil forfeiture because it's probably drug money and who the hell buries gold, you big pedophile terrorist muslim?
